Government College Madappally has an active unit of NCC which functions to develop character comradeship and the capacity for leadership among the students. It provides service training to its members in order to stimulate interest in the defence of the Nation. The NCC cadets are actively involved in the social service activities around the locality. The NCC unit of the college makes its presence felt through representations in the annual Republic Day parade.
